Champions aplenty will be in action when the FIA European Rally Championship heads to Greece next week for the EKO Acropolis Rally. AMITTRAJIT GHOSH IS ERC BOUND TO BUILD EXPERIENCE
Amittrajit Ghosh will use the FIA European Rally Championship to gain essential experience as he looks to progress to the world stage in the future. The multiple national racing and rally champion from India has only rallied outside his homeland once before, but will start the process of expanding his international knowledge when he contests the EKO Acropolis Rally in Greece from 1-3 June, a prelude to a planned full-season ERC assault in 2019. ERC JUNIORS PAST AND PRESENT STAR FOR ACCR CZECH TEAM
ACCR Czech Team duo Jan Černý and Filip Mareš were on fine form on last weekend’s Czech championship-counting Rallye Český Krumov. While 2013 ERC champion Jan Kopecký did the winning in his factory ŠKODA Fabia R5 ahead of local hero Václav Pech, Černý edged Mareš to third place by a mere seven seconds. Click for full story.

CONSISTENT REMENNIK ON TOP IN ERC2
Sergei Remennik’s impressive consistency in the FIA European Rally Championship has propelled the Russian to the top of the ERC2 rankings after two rounds. Remennik has finished second in class two events running, including on Rally Islas Canarias earlier this month where he placed runner-up behind defending champion Tibor Érdi Jr. But the Russian Performance Motorsport driver admitted he got lucky after Juan Carlos Alonso dropped out at the halfway point on day two. HUGE PROGRESS FOR ERC REGULAR HABAJ
Former Polish champion Łukas Habaj has made “huge progress” in the last 12 months after landing his second top 10 finish in a row in the FIA European Rally Championship. Habaj began his 2017 ERC campaign with a non-finish in the Azores and a non-start in Gran Canaria following a crash in Free Practice on the Spanish asphalt event. But in a reversal of fortune, Habaj has a seventh place on the Azores Airlines Rallye and a P10 on Rally Islas Canarias earlier this month to show for his efforts in 2018, the latter coming on the back of a tough outing in his Ford Fiesta R5. FALCÓN: BRING ON THE GRAVEL IN ERC
Emma Falcón will continue her ERC Ladies’ Trophy bid when she makes her debut on the EKO Acropolis Rally next month. In what will be a rare outing on gravel for the Canary Islander, Falcón will contest the Lamia-based event in a Citroën DS3 R3T, which she used to claim top ERC Ladies’ Trophy points on her home round of the FIA European Rally Championship, Rally Islas Canarias.
