TOP ERC STARS SET FOR SEAJETS ACROPOLIS RALLY

A host of the FIA European Rally Championship’s leading drivers are set to compete on the next round, the SEAJETS Acropolis Rally on 6-8 May. The defending champion and points leader Kajetan Kajetanowicz will be looking for his first ERC win since the 2015 rally in Greece, held last October, but is likely to have competition from Alexey Lukyanuk, the winner on March’s Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés. Robert Consani, Jaromír Tarabus and Dávid Botka are all set to attend, as is Lambros Athanassoulas, who delighted the Greek fans with third place in 2015. Wojciech Chuchała will go in search of his third win from as many events in the ERC2 class, but faces opposition from as many as five other drivers. In ERC3, Łukasz Pieniążek will follow his ERC Junior win on the Circuit of Ireland by competing in Greece, up against double two-wheel drive champion Zoltán Bessenyey, Turkish star Murat Bostanci and Romania’s Alexandru Filip.
