why Huttunen can continue erc junior success for Opel and ADAC
Opel and the ADAC believe Jari Huttunen has what it takes to continue their success in the FIA ERC Junior Championship in 2017. The 22-year-old from Finland was selected after dominating the ADAC Opel Rallye Cup in Germany this season, following in the footsteps of Julius Tannert, Emil Bergkvist and Marijan Griebel. The full Opel line-up for 2017 will be announced soon. Opel motorsport director Jörg Schrott said: “Jari has convinced us in all aspects. He has clearly left his mark in the ADAC Opel Rallye Cup, is still very young, already very fast and willing to learn. We are convinced that we have found the right young driver for our ambitious goals in the ERC Junior Championship.” ADAC Sport President Hermann Tomczyk added: “The ERC Junior titles won by Emil Bergkvist and Marijan Griebel in the past two years underline the strength of the joint promotional concept of ADAC and Opel. I would be delighted if Jari Huttunen succeeded in continuing this success story. He has the talent for it.”
