Grönholm signs up the ERC's newest prospect
Jari Huttunen, who will compete in the FIA ERC Junior Championship for Opel next year, has been signed up by rally legend Marcus Grönholm to his management company. Considered one of Finland’s hottest prospects, Huttunen this year dominated the ADAC Opel Rallye Cup in Germany and earned a place on the ADAC Opel Rallye Junior Team for next year’s ERC. Now the 22-year-old has joined GRX Management, headed up by two-time world champion Grönholm. “Jari is a talented guy, as shown by his success in Germany,” said Grönholm. “At GRX Management we will try to create the conditions for his rally career to be a continued success.” Huttunen, who revealed that he was behind the wheel of a combine harvester when the call from Grönholm came, said: “To be involved in Grönholm’s stable is a great thing. It will certainly help when thinking about the future. Last season in Germany went beyond expectations and now we have this, so yes, I have to be pleased.”
