ERC will love Rally di Roma Capitale, says AndreucciNine-time Italian rally champion Paolo Andreucci says that the FIA European Rally Championship drivers will all love Rally di Roma Capitale, which will make its ERC debut this year on 15-17 September. “It’s a classic Italian asphalt rally, which I am sure everyone is going to love,” said the Peugeot Italia driver. “The roads are medium-fast, with lots of corners. There’s actually a bit of everything: some stages that are mostly hairpins and other stages that are a lot quicker. It’s the sort of rally where you have to find a rhythm quite quickly and really drive the car.” As well as the stages, Andreucci is convinced that the ERC will benefit from the unique atmosphere and location of the event. “It’s a show as much as a rally: the start ceremony and the sections through the middle of Rome mean that you get a really good media return. In just a short space of time, the organisers have created a unique event, which will be a fantastic addition to the ERC.”
