LUKYANUK: ERC TITLE MY FOCUS IN ZLÍN
Alexey Lukyanuk has vowed not to lose focus when the FIA European Rally Championship heads to Czech Republic. The ERC leader by nine points over Bruno Magalhães has never won Barum Czech Rally Zlín but has come close to ending home hero Jan Kopecký’s dominance of the event in recent seasons. However, he insists winning the coveted ERC title is the priority when action gets underway on Friday, and will drive accordingly in the Ford Fiesta R5 he shares with co-driver Alexey Arnautov. ERC DRIVERS PAST AND PRESENT ON TOP OF THE WORLD IN GERMANY
FIA European Rally Championship drivers past and present were on top form on Germany’s round of the world series counter last weekend. Ott Tänak beat fellow former ERC event winner Thierry Neuville to the overall victory as 2014 ERC champion Esapekka Lappi rounded out the top three. Click for full story.

HAPPY SORDO CLOSES IN ON ERC DEBUT
Dani Sordo is set to be a happy man when he makes his FIA European Rally Championship debut on next week’s Barum Czech Rally Zlín. Click for full story.

WHO WILL TOP THE ERC BATTLE OF THE BROTHERS?
Family pride will be at stake when the FIA European Rally Championship heads to Czech Republic. Simon Wagner, 25, will go up against his younger brother Julian, 23, on Barum Czech Rally Zlín with the Austrian siblings in contention for ERC3 points and Simon chasing ERC Junior Under 27 points in his Pirelli-equipped PEUGEOT 208 R2. KRISTENSSON PAYS TRIBUTE TO “AMAZING” ERC TEAM
Tom Kristensson says his participation on Barum Czech Rally Zlín has been made possible by the efforts of his “amazing” ADAC Opel Rally Junior Team. Swede Kristensson, an ERC Junior Under 27 Championship podium finisher, crashed heavily on ADAC Rallye Deutschland last week, inflicting substantial damage to his Opel ADAM R2 to the extent he feared he would be a non-starter in Czech Republic. ČERNÝ AIMING FOR ERC JUNIOR PODIUM
Jan Černý hopes to hit back from his Rally di Roma Capitale frustrations in the best way possible: by finishing his home round of the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship on the podium. Černý placed fourth in the category for young stars in R5 cars in Italy following a spate of punctures. But he hopes his previous Barum Czech Rally Zlín experience (this will be start number 10 in south-eastern Moravia for the 28-year-old), plus strong home support will lead to a top-three finish. BACK TO WHERE THE ERC DREAM BEGAN FOR AVCIOGLU
Orhan Avcioglu will return to Barum Czech Rally Zlín more than a decade on from his first visit to the event and the start of his FIA European Rally Championship dream. Click for full story.

RETURNING KLAUSZ SET FOR “EXTREMELY HARD CHALLENGE” IN ERC
Krisóf Klausz is returning to the FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship on Barum Czech Rally Zlín because of the “extremely hard challenge” he’ll face. Hungarian Klausz has been a regular in the Pirelli-supported category since 2015 and has started Barum Czech Rally Zlín three times. Click for full story.

ERC EVENT PREVIEW: BARUM CZECH RALLY ZLÍN
The most successful driver in Barum Czech Rally Zlín history and unbeaten at home in 22 events, former European champion Jan Kopecký will serve as the ultimate benchmark for the ERC Junior drivers aiming for the top when the 2018 FIA European Rally Championship resumes on the hugely demanding sealed-surface roads in south-eastern Moravia from 24-26 August.
