R5 CHANCE FOR ERC JUNIOR LLARENA
Efrén Llarena has been handed a huge opportunity to prove his talent in an R5 car on the Spanish championship finale in Madrid later this month. Llarena, who finished third in the Pirelli-supported FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship in 2018 as part of the RFEDA-backed Rally Team Spain initiative, has been handed a dream drive in a Ford Fiesta R5. ERC JUNIOR YATES IMPRESSES ON RARE CO-DRIVING RUN
FIA European Rally Championship points-scorer Rhys Yates proved he can do more than just drive when he navigated his brother James on a national rally in his native United Kingdom last weekend, ending up just six seconds shy of victory. Click for full story.
 
IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED… ERC JUNIOR U28 CHAMPION GRYAZIN PLANS FRANCE RETURN MISSION
Nikolay Gryazin won’t be put off from rallying in France after his outing on Critérium des Cévennes ended in final-stage disappointment recently. Gryazin, fresh from winning the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship on Rally Liepāja in Latvia in mid-October, was in second place on the French Tarmac event in Montpellier when a rare mistake forced his early exit. MARGAILLAN KEEN ON ERC FUTURE
French talent Hugo Margaillan wants to try the FIA European Rally Championship for real in 2019 with an ERC Junior Under 27 campaign in the planning. Margaillan and co-driver Sébastien Poujol scooped the ‘junior’ section of the 208 Rally Cup in their homeland this season and also enrolled in the ERC Junior Experience training programme. WHY ACROPOLIS WAS THE ERC TURNING POINT FOR NOBRE
Ever-present FIA European Rally Championship competitor Paulo Nobre has picked the EKO Acropolis Rally as his best moment of 2018. Nobre scored ERC points for the first time on the Lamia-based event in June, which coincided with an upturn in pace from the Motorsport Italia-run Brazilian. Click for full story.
